COVID-19 Support Fund Announced by South Australian Government Announcement 31st December 2021

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and its significant impact on local businesses, community organisations, industry sectors and jobs, the South Australian Government announced the establishment of two funds to support businesses, jobs and community organisations:

  • Business and Jobs Support Fund
  • Community and Jobs Support Fund

The Funds have supported a range of businesses and community organisations during the COVID-19 restrictions. The funds have been combined to create the COVID-19 Support Fund.

The South Australian Government has introduced support packages for businesses that have been impacted by the health restrictions put in place from 27 December 2021.

The summary table below outlines the grants available to the Tourism, hospitality and Gyms as well as major events and also for those businesses impacted by health restrictions in place from 27 December 2021 that are not eligible for the tourism, hospitality and gym grants.

Tourism, hospitality and gym grant - automatic payment- December 2021

$3,000 for employing businesses or $1,000 for non-employing businesses.

Additional $1,000 for CBD businesses.

Additional $7,000 for tourism and hospitality businesses with turnover above $2 million.

Automatically paid to businesses that received previous COVID-19 Tourism and Hospitality Support Grant and Gym operators that received Additional COVID-19 Business Support Grant.
